After all of our hard work and effort last year, we were delighted to hear that we have been awarded the ‘Biodiversity’ green flag. On Thursday, 7th October, both staff and pupils in Scoil Mháirtín wore green to mark the occasion. After small lunch, 6th Class A & B gathered in the halla to watch the virtual flag ceremony. During this ceremony, guest speakers from Green Schools spoke to us about our hard work and determination, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. We saw lots of photographs of various schools that were awarded flags this year and to finish off the workshop, there was a multiple choice quiz based on Biodiversity. We are delighted that Scoil Mháirtín’s hard work has paid off and we can’t wait to see our new green flag hanging up outside!
